Reshaping coil embolization
with the i-ED Coil

We agree that shape matters. That’s why we offer a full line of complex-shaped coils for round and elliptical aneurysms. But what about when the shape is irregular?

Then, in our opinion, shapeless matters.

Our low-memory shape coils seek out the open space without compartmentalizing into a ball-like shape. Plus, with diameters of 0.012in and 0.014in, and up to 50cm in length, 14-Infini and Complex-Infini offers up to 2x more volume than a 0.010in coil.

i-ED Coil portfolio.

Complex Coil

  • The Complex coil is our highest memory shape coil, taking on a ball-shaped coil upon deployment (similar to any other traditional concentric frame, fill and finish coil).

  • The coil primary diameter increases progressively with the size of the implant: 0.010in for 1-4mm coils, 0.012in for 5-9mm coils and 0.014in for 10-16mm coils.

  • The low-profile pusher wire on the Complex SilkySoft finishing coil enables the coil to fit through a 0.013in microcatheter.

Complex-Infini Coil

  • Hybrid shape (between a Complex and Infini coil) means a moderate amount of shape-memory. With every other loop alternating between the low-memory Infini and high-memory Complex, this filling coil seeks out the open space left by framing coils.

  • 0.012in primary diameter means up to 1.5x more volume that a 0.010in coil.

  • Available in the SilkySoft profile, this coil is 3x softer* than Target 360 Ultra.

Infini Coil

  • Low memory-shape coil easily changes direction when it encounters resistance to scaffold over a stent or conforms to irregular shapes

  • The 14-Infini provides up to 2x more volume per coil with up to 50cm lengths.

  • The selection process for Infini coils differs from that of Complex coils. Instead of focusing on the coil's secondary diameter, selection is based on the length to achieve the desired packing volume. This is because the low memory-shape of Infini coils means the coil can fit a range of diameters, as is noted on the product label.

Indications for use.

The i-ED COIL System (i-ED COIL and EDG v4) is intended for the endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms and other neurovascular abnormalities such as arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistulae.

The i-ED COIL System is also intended for vascular occlusion of blood vessels within the neurovascular system to permanently obstruct blood flow to an aneurysm or other vascular malformation and for arterial and venous embolizations in the peripheral vasculature.
